Pedro Paz, Co-Chair
Pedro was born and raised locally. Since graduating from UCSB as an undergrad Pedro has worked for a number of local organizations including La Casa de la Raza and UC Santa Barbara. For nearly three years he worked in the City of Merced, with his last position there being that of Executive Director of First 5 Merced County. Pedro’s interest in the issues that PUEBLO Action Fund engages in reflect his own interest of ensuring that all low-income residents throughout Santa Barbara County have a voice in issues that matter to them such as living wage, public transportation, affordable housing, health care and child care. Pedro has a Ph.D. and M.A. from UC Santa Barbara in Education specializing in Language, Culture. and Literacy.
Joel Rodriguez-Flores, Co-Chair
Joel Rodriguez-Flores has been a social justice activist in the Santa Barbara community for the past 4 years. His involvement includes advocating for public transportation, affordable housing, and immigrants' rights with PUEBLO Action Fund, as well as organizing with the Isla Vista Tenants' Union against the mass eviction of 53 families in 2006. As a student at UCSB, he also planned days of action and traveled to Sacramento and Washington, D.C. to lobby against state and federal cuts to higher education funding.

Kelly Burns, Treasurer
Kelly Burns is a UCSB Grad Student Global and International Studies. She has been on the PUEBLO Action Fund board since April of 2008 and serves on the Finance and Fundraising Committees and also represents us on the Rental Housing Round table.

Monique Limon, Secretary
Monique Limón is the Assistant Director of the TRIO federally funded McNair Scholars Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Ms. Limón holds a M.A. in Education from Columbia University and a B.A. from UC Berkeley. Prior to her role with the McNair Scholars Program Ms. Limón served as the Director of Diversity, Recruitment, and Retention for the UCSB Graduate Division for two years, where she engaged in long-range planning in support of diversity, outreach, recruitment and retention efforts for all graduate departments on campus. Monique Limón has a strong record of involvement in the university and the local Santa Barbara community, currently serving on the Board of Directors of Hermanas Unidas Inc., New Beginnings Counseling Center, as a Commissioner of the Santa Barbara County Commission for Women, and as former Katherine Harvey Fellow of the Santa Barbara Foundation.
